Trump criticized for his language calling India 'hell' - Kisan Congress Social Media Haryana State Convener Parminder Singh Bhamba expressed strong protest

Condemnation Statement

Parminder Singh Bhamba

State Co‑ordinator, Kisan Congress Social Media, Haryana

Donald Trump’s recent amplification of derogatory language describing India as a “hellhole” is deeply offensive and unacceptable. Such remarks insult not only the dignity of our nation but also the millions of hardworking Indian immigrants who contribute positively to societies across the world.

India is a land of resilience, culture, and innovation. To demean it with such language reflects ignorance and disrespect. Trump has already alienated friends in Canada and Europe through his divisive rhetoric, and now by targeting Indians, he risks further isolating himself from global communities that value mutual respect and cooperation.

As Indians, we reject this toxic narrative. Our farmers, workers, professionals, and diaspora embody values of hard work, loyalty, and progress. No one has the right to belittle their identity or heritage.

We call upon all democratic voices to stand united against such disparaging language. India’s strength lies in its people, and no insult can diminish our resolve for justice, dignity, and global friendship.

Land Pooling in Punjab & Haryana: A Threat to India’s Food Bowl?

ЁЯМ╛ India’s agricultural backbone—Punjab and Haryana—has long been celebrated for feeding the nation. Together, these two states contribute over **75% of the wheat** and nearly **30% of the rice** procured for the central food distribution system. But a new policy is stirring controversy: the **Land Pooling Policy**, aimed at urban expansion, is being seen by many as a direct threat to the country’s food security.   What Is Land Pooling? Land pooling is a development strategy where landowners voluntarily contribute their land to a government authority. In return, they receive a portion of the developed land—typically residential and commercial plots. The idea is to enable **planned urban growth** without resorting to forced land acquisition. In Punjab, the government plans to pool over **65,000 acres** across 21 cities, starting with Ludhiana. Landowners are promised: - **1,000 sq. yards of residential land** - **200 sq. yards of commercial land** for every acre pooled. And i...
